Qualifications and clinical experience
I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist registered with the British Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapy (BABCP). In addition I am an accredited Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapist with the Association of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (AREBT). I have completed the formal 3 part training course as an EMDR therapist run by EMDR Europe.
I have over 16 years experience of working in mental health. My core training as a Mental Health Nurse commenced in 1994. I completed my Diploma in Nursing (Mental Health Branch) in 1997 at Kingston University and St Georges Medical School gaining a distinction. I remain registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) My post graduate training was at Goldsmiths College University of London where I was awarded an MSc in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy in 2003.
I have worked within the NHS since 1997 in both clinical and managerial roles. I am currently employed as a Senior Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist within the NHS.
